New insight on the formation of East Asian flora

(Science China Press) The East Asian flora (EAF) is a key biodiversity hotspot for understanding the origin and evolution of Northern Hemisphere floras. The research from Prof. Sun Hang's Group from Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences (KIB/CAS) suggest that the East Asian might be relatively young, with most of its clades originating since the Miocene.
