Atrioventricular node (AV) ablation and permanent pacing is an established strategy for rate control in the management of symptomatic atrial fibrillation (AF). Leadless pacemakers (LP) can overcome some of the short-term and long-term limitations of conventional transvenous pacemakers (CTP).
