However, the research of interaction between PEG coating and different receptors such as stabilin-2 and CD44 was limited. Herein, we synthesized a series of PEGylated hyaluronic acid with Curcumin (PHCs) to evaluate the role of PEG coat...

This study identifies mechanisms mediating responses to immune checkpoint inhibitors using mouse models of triple-negative breast cancer. By creating new mammary tumor models, we find that tumor mutation burden and specific immune cells are associated with response. Further, we developed a rich resource of single-cell RNA-seq and bulk mRNA-seq data of immunotherapy-treated and non-treated tumors from sensitive and resistant murine models. Using this, we uncover that immune checkpoint therapy induces T follicular helper cell activation of B cells to facilitate the anti-tumor response in these models. We also show that B cel...

The objective was to test and assess the accuracy of a scoring method in probabilistic data linkage in order to enable automatic identification of true matches, dispensing with the manual inspection stage. Accuracy study using data from the Breast Cancer Information System (SISMAMA) base in Minas Gerais State, Brazil, from 2009 and 2010. After cleaning and standardization, a 16-step probabilistic linkage of the 2009 and 2010 databases was performed, where each step was inspected manually to obtain a gold standard. Samples were then selected, inspected, and assessed to calculate the method's accuracy in selecting true match...

Abstract Introduction: Clinicopathologic and prognostic significance of body mass index (BMI) in breast cancer (BC) patients remained conflicting. We aimed to investigate and modify the impact of BMI on clinicopathological significance and survival in western Chinese BC patients. Materials and Methods: 8,394 female BC patients from Western China Clinical Cooperation Group (WCCCG) between 2005 and 2015 were identified. Multivariable logistic regression and Cox proportion hazard regressions were used to examine the difference of clinicopathologic and survival characteristics between BMI categories. Results...

Conclusion: These findings cannot support contribution of rs1042522 polymorphism to breast cancer risk in an Iranian population. Future larger studies may help confirm this finding with a greater power. PMID: 31721533 [PubMed]
