Public Inspection: FNS: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program: Requirements and Services for Able-Bodied Adults without Dependents; Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking

Pre-publication advanced notice of proposed rulemaking from the Food and Nutrition Service, U.S. Department of Agricultural that would limit the amount of time that able-bodied adults without dependents can receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to 3 months in a 36-month period, unless they are working or participating in a work program at least half-time, or participating in workfare. Also includes other exemptions to the time limit as well as options for States to request waivers of the time limit. Comments on the proposed rule are due within 45 days of final publication in the Federal Register, which is scheduled for February 23, 2018.
