Saint Francis drops Arlington ER plan; Baptist proceeds with its proposal

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corp. (BMHCC) is appealing its second Certificate of Need (CON) application for a free-standing emergency department in Arlington, while Saint Francis Hospital-Bartlett has withdrawn from the process. Last August, the Tennessee Health Services and Development Agency (THSDA) board denied Baptist's new application for a free-standing ER.
