Baby boom: Deliveries up as Greater Cincinnati hospital adds natural childbirth center

Deliveries at Atrium Medical Center increased by nearly 7 percent last year after the Warren County hospital opened a natural childbirth center. The Natural Beginnings Birth Center opened in December 2016 at the hospital in Middletown, and 72 women decided on natural birth there in 2017. That exceeded expectations, although the hospital had previously noted an increased demand for natural childbirth. Atrium logged 956 deliveries in 2017, including the 72 natural births.
