Fire Destroys 5 Ambulances, Building at N.J. Ambulance Company

WOODSTOWN, N.J. (WTXF) - WOODSTOWN, N.J. (AP) -- Authorities say a fast-moving fire gutted an ambulance squad's building in New Jersey and destroyed five ambulances, causing at least $2 million in damage overall. The fire at the American Legion Ambulance Association in Woodstown broke out around 4 a.m. Monday and was extinguished about two hours later. Officials say oxygen tanks inside some of the squad's ambulances exploded shortly after the fire began, helping the flames to quickly spread. Read more...
