Nigeria:Female Genital Mutilation Has Declined in South-East, Globally, Say Unicef, UNFPA

[This Day] The United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) have jointly declared that the prevalence of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) within the South-east region of Nigeria and other places around the world has declined by nearly a quarter (25 per cent) since year 2000.
