OHSU, CDC unravel mysterious eye infection

(Oregon Health& Science University) A 26-year-old Oregon woman was the first known case of a human being infected with the cattle eyeworm Thelazia gulosa, which normally affects large animals. She was likely infected while being around cows near her rural home, experts conclude in a paper published in the American Journal of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
