Thoracic duct cyst presenting as abdominal pain
A 57-year-old gentleman presented to clinic with a 6-month history of right upper quadrant abdominal pain. The pain was aggravated by respiration, movement, and lying on the right side. Patient denied any fever, weight loss, or gastrointestinal-related symptoms. The patient's medical history was notable for type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension controlled with medications. The patient's surgical history was unremarkable for trauma or previous surgery. Physical examination indicated right upper quadrant bulging and tenderness.
