We present two cases of marked progression of metastatic paraganglioma following initial partial response to PRRT. Given their positivity on68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT and111In-octreotide SPECT, they underwent PRRT. Imaging following treatment revealed significant improvement in size and intensity, with some foci nearly completely resolved in one patient, and disease regression with a decrease in the number and size of bone and liver lesions in the second patient. Within months, repeat imaging in both patients revealed extensive metastatic disease with new lesions, which eventually lead to their deaths. The mechanism for rapid di...
ConclusionThis review summarises updates in tracer development for specific (pre-clinical and clinical) imaging of bacterial infections. We propsed some promising tracers that are likely to become innovative standards in the clinical setting in the near feature.
ConclusionsAbsolute quantitative223Ra SPECT imaging appears feasible once the dimension of the target is determined. Further evaluation should be needed to apply the calibration factor-based quantitation to clinical223Ra SPECT/CT imaging. This will open the possibility for patient-specific223Ra treatment planning and therapeutic outcome prediction in patients.
ConclusionThis methodology can be used for pre-treatment dosimetry and for SIRT planning including the determination of the activity that should be administered to achieve the therapeutical goal. The inclusion of perfusion CBCT enables perfusion-based definition of the liver lobes, which was shown to be markedly different from the anatomical definition in some of the patients.
Conclusion111In-C4-DTPA bound rapidly to circulating albumin upon injection and showed time-dependent uptake in the tumors demonstrating a potential for clinical application as a companion imaging diagnostic for albumin-binding anticancer drugs.
Single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging with technetium-99m-disphosphates plays an important role in assessing unilateral condylar hyperplasia. The aim of the study was to evaluate whether quantification methods of single-photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT) based on precise region of interest (ROI) drawings made under the guide of CT images are more accurate than conventional SPECT methods in the assessment of unilateral condylar hyperplasia (UCH) growth.
Malignant glioma is the most common and deadliest brain cancer due to the obstacle from indistinct tumor margins for surgical excision and blood brain barrier (BBB) for chemotherapy. Here, we designed and prep...
ConclusionPhysical corrections along with other image corrections can provide comparable MBF quantitations in both CHF and non-CHF patients, regardless of the type of SPECT systems used.
ConclusionsA higher eGFR might have prognostic value for improvement in CVR after EC –IC bypass surgery in patients with CASD and misery perfusion.
