CONCLUSION: Our case report supports the potential use of anti-IL-5 therapy for remission of patients with CEP with recurrent relapses. Whether, it would also be an effective initial therapy might also be an area that deserves future investigation. PMID: 30444149 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Tissue engineering solutions help doctors to deliver tissue equivalent to damaged tissue. Such treatment method requires advanced biomaterials which would not only enable cells proliferation but also help to maintain their viability. The aim of the present work was to develop new chitosan-based biomaterial with enhanced properties applicable in ...

RowellABSTRACTSurface fuels are the critical link between structure and function in frequently burned pine ecosystems, which are found globally [1,2,3]. We bring fuels to the forefront of fire ecology through the concept of the Ecology of Fuels [4]. This concept describes a cyclic process between fuels, fire behavior, and fire effects, which ultimately affect future fuel distribution [5]. Low-intensity surface fires are driven by the variability in fine-scale (sub-m level) fuels [6]. Traditional f...

We report the in situ synthesis of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles on 1-3 layers of colloidal collagen-graphene composites. Varying calcium and phosphate : graphene ratio two different composites were synthesized. Crystallite size, particle size and degree of crystallinity of hydroxyapatite nanoparticles changes with a change in graphene concentration. Transmission electron microscopy shows that these graphene composites change shape from spherical to elongated needle-like structures because of the varying nitrogen content in collagen-graphene. Fourier-transform Infrared Spectroscopy peaks suggests an interaction between calc...

That fire facilitated the late Miocene C4 grassland expansion is widely suspected but poorly documented. Fire potentially tied global climate to this profound biosphere transition by serving as a regional-to-local driver of vegetation change. In...
