Key Clinical Message Successful long‐term treatment of cryptococcal meningitis in dogs is clinically challenging. In humans, there are only rare case reports of complications post‐treatment including arachnoid diverticula. Combination antifungal therapy is standard of practice in human medicine and should be considered in veterinary patients.
