First-in-human: leadless Micra transcatheter pacing system meets the Nanostim leadless cardiac pacing system

In March 2017 a 84-year-old patient implanted with a Nanostim [leadless cardiac pacemaker (LCP)] device 3  years ago presented with symptomatic bradycardia (atrial fibrillation, heart rate 40/min) to the emergency department. The Nanostim LCP could not be interrogated due to a battery malfunction.
