Editorial: peptide receptor radionuclide therapy as neoadjuvant therapy for resectable or potentially resectable pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms

Peptide receptor radio therapy (PRRT) is a hot topic in the field of neuroendocrine tumor treatment. It has been available in Europe, where this report originated, for many years but not in the United States. I have been privileged to be an advisor to and part of a PRRT program in London for the past several years and have found that only a minute fraction of my American patients who might benefit from PRRT have had the resources to travel there repeatedly and pay privately for the several cycles of treatments.
