Restricted form of medical marijuana goes on sale in Texas
Medical marijuana is now being sold in Texas — or at least a version of it.
It's a drastically different product than in most states around the country that allow medical marijuana. In Texas, only oil made from cannabidiol, or CBD, is available, and it can only be sold to patients with a rare form of epilepsy.
In addition, the CBD oil sold in Texas must have extremely low levels of tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, the compound in marijuana that produces a high.
