Low Rate of Cervical Cancer Screening among Women with Hematologic Malignancies after Stem Cell Transplant

• Stem cell transplant (SCT) recipients are at high risk for cervical dysplasia, and cervical cancer screening is recommended. However, screening rates and timing after stem cell transplant (SCT) is not clear.• Using a large commercial claims database, we found that that the screening rates was low, 44.5%, within 2 years after allogeneic or autologous SCT.• Younger age, a diagnosis of leukemia, and not having graft-versus-host disease or comorbid medical conditions were predictors of cervical cancer screening.
