Texas Rep Gohmert calls on Comey, McCabe and Ohr to be JAILED after defrauding FISA court with fake "Trump dossier"

(Natural News) Following Friday’s release of the infamous, scandal-filled FISA memo on Friday, it didn’t take long for a member of Congress to call for the obvious: Legal action against those involved in misrepresenting the fake “Trump dossier” as a legitimate piece of intelligence before the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court so the Obama administration could spy...

Conclusions: The ANDY can be used to track the syringe used for each patient. The barcode can be read while the syringe rotates in the main body of the ANDY with a built-in omnidirectional scanner. Collection of information during syringe disposal can facilitate stock management. This system could also be extended to other types of consumable medical devices, although it would still be a challenge to differentiate each medical device. PMID: 30788181 [PubMed]

CT-guided interventional procedures, in particular ablations and complex orthopedic procedures, can at times require the use of substantial radiation doses. A theoretical model for skin dose based on the definitions of CTDIvol and CTIDw has been published, but not validated experimentally. The aim of this study was to validate this model and benchmark against a typical mix of helical and axial scanning during CT-guided procedures.

This study was performed to test the hypothesis that contrast-enhanced CT scan can help  identify “high-risk” esophageal varices in cirrhotic patients.

The novelty of integrated interventional radiology (IR) residencies has previously resulted in insufficient information on match statistics and low public knowledge on predictors of successful matching into integrated IR. Matching into integrated IR is highly competitive which creates a demand for improving the available knowledge on strong predictors for successful matching to applicants and mentors.

In radioembolization (SIRT) the activity of tumor and liver is estimated from Technetium99-Human-Serum-Albumin Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT), but relative contrast differences can also be calculated from arterial phase Multidetector Computed Tomography (MDCT) or parenchymal phase Cone-beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) (1). The aim of this study was to investigate the agreement of Tumor-Liver-Enhancement-Ratio (TLER) of preinterventional MDCT, CBCT, and SPECT with postinterventional Yttrium90 Positron Emission Tomography (PET) serving as gold standard for dose distribution assessment.

Cone-beam CT (CBCT) imaging is used in multiple abdominal interventions and requires patient breath hold to maximize image quality. Holding breath can be challenging for some patients or simply not possible, leading to repeated scans or lack of 3-dimensional (3D) information. We investigated a novel CBCT processing product (Motion Freeze, GE Healthcare), which compensate breathing motion. The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether the processing improves image quality.

The standard for prostate biopsy consists of a non-targeted 12-50 core retrieval using transrectal, ultrasound techniques or template transperineal techniques performed in the operating room. With 3 Tesla multiparametric MRI now providing sensitive and specific findings for focal prostate cancers, we are targeting focal biopsies in the MRI suite. This reduces the invasiveness and damage caused by yearly indiscriminate biopsies. However, since we target prostate lesions, it is very important that we obtain a “quick stain” analysis of the tissue while the patient is still in the MRI scanner.

We read with great interest the paper by Leonard et al. [1] online published in IJC in Dec 12, 2018. They included 57 articles (19 CT versus 38 non-CT) with a total of 13,731 patients in the pooled analysis, and tried to identify the potential influential clinical factors of stroke occurrence following minimally invasive mitral valve surgery (MIMVS). Finally, 10 clinical factors (age, female gender, CAD, hypertension, non-CT screening, etc.) have been found to be with significant importance for the incidence of stroke using univariate mete-regression analyses.
