Commentary on: Non-interpretive radiology: an Irish perspective

It is worthy to value the component tasks that are required of radiologists to produce good-quality care, including many of those that can be categorised as “non-interpretative”.1 Request vetting is a prerequisite to ensuring appropriate imaging examinations are performed and should be included in direct clinical care in job contracts. Similarly, colleagues attending, but not presenting at, multidisciplinary meetings obtain a “practical from educa tional” advantage within this supportive activity.
