They have been associated with peritonitis, endocarditis, meningitis, and catheterassociated infections.1,2,6 Here, we report a patient with gall bladder stone complicating with obstructive jaundice and acute cholecystitis. He suffered from Candidemia (Candida tropicalis) due to hospital acquired catheter-related infections. He received anidulafungin therapy with loading dose of 200 mg intravenously drip (ivd) immediately and maintain dose of 100 mg ivd every day for C. tropicalis blood stream infections. Unfortunately, he got fatal breakthrough fungemia with Rhodotorula mucilaginosa during anidulafungin therapy.
