Oh baby: Mercy plans $3.2M upgrade to labor and delivery
Catholic Health is planning another major upgrade for mother-baby services.
The system filed plans for a $3.2 million renovation of the labor and delivery rooms at Mercy Hospital in South Buffalo.
The project comes as the system works to complete an $8.8 million expansion of the neonatal intensive care unit at its Sisters of Charity Hospital.
Aimee Gomlak, vice presiden t for women’s services at Catholic Health, said both projects come in response to regionwide increases in births in recent years.
