Pyridostigmine treatment reverses pediatric complications of botulinum toxin therapy

(Medical University of South Carolina) In an article published online ahead of print by The Journal of Pediatrics, physicians at the Medical University of South Carolina report that complications from botox therapy for nerve disorders can be reversed with pyridostigmine, a common treatment for myasthenia gravis. The report is the first such use in pediatric patients.
