University of Miami to build proton therapy center

The University of Miami announced a deal to build a proton therapy center at its Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, which would make it the third proton facility in South Florida. The university signed a deal with Palo Alto, California-based Varian (NYSE: VAR) to build its ProBeam at UHealth Tower on its medical school campus.
