As Durham ’s BioCryst Pharmaceuticals and Exton, Pennsylvania-based Idera Pharmaceuticals announced an agreement to merge in an all-stock deal Monday – with plans to headquarter the combined company in Exton and consolidate a research center in Birmingham, Alabama – leaders from BioCryst say the transit ion will be gradual with a legacy BioCryst program of critical importance over the next two years.
