How do we reach the girls and women who are the hardest to reach? Inequitable opportunities in reproductive and maternal health care services in armed conflict and forced displacement settings in Colombia - Rivillas JC, Devia Rodriguez R, Song G, Martel A.
OBJECTIVES: This paper assesses inequalities in access to reproductive and maternal health services among females affected by forced displacement and sexual and gender-based violence in conflict settings in Colombia. This was accomplished through the follo...

CONCLUSION: Prediction models regressed on persons with and without SCI under-predicted REE of competitive wheelchair rugby athletes. This outcome may be explained by the higher REE/fat-free mass (FFM) ratio of current athletes compared to less active samples. Findings from the current study will help practitioners to determine nutrient intake needs on training days of varied intensity. PMID: 31017540 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
CONCLUSIONS: This study provides evidence of a dynamic process of white matter change occurring beyond the initial phases of recovery after moderate to severe TBI. The observed relationship between structural reorganization and changes in cognitive performance has implications for rehabilitation potential in more chronic phases of recovery. CONCLUSIONS: Results suggest that the CES-D is a valid screening instrument for depressive disorders in military samples with a history of mTBI. PMID: 31017474 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
CONCLUSIONS: AMS predicts post-mTBI depressive symptoms both in the acute and chronic mTBI phases whereas LOC is a more sensitive predictor of post-concussive symptoms in the acute mTBI period. PMID: 31017017 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
The objective of the study is to determine the effect of Channa striata extract toward the acceleration of tuberculosis treatment. The study used true experiment, in which the intervention of the study was Channa striata supplementation to respondent. In addition, Chi-square was used to analyze the data with SPSS version 22. The result is the proportion of respondent classified in negative category in intervention group within week 0, week 1, week 2, week 3, and week 4 being 10.7%, 35.9%, 56.3%, 70.9%, and 90.3%, respectively. Besides, the proportion of respondent classified in negative category in control group within wee...
Conclusion: Treatment of systemic loxoscelism involves aggressive supportive care including appropriate wound management, blood transfusions, intravenous fluid replacement, and appropriate antibiotic coverage. It is unclear at this time if glucocorticoids or IVIg has any beneficial impact on the treatment of severe loxoscelism. PMID: 31015839 [PubMed]

The theory is based on a renown lower bound of Pinsker (1980) and an adaptive estimator that attains it. This paper solves a long-standing problem of adaptive estimation without assuming boundary conditions.

Publication date: Available online 24 April 2019Source: Physics Letters BAuthor(s): Xue Gong, Chong-Xing Yue, Yu-Chen GuoAbstractVector-like quarks (VLQs) are predicted in many new physics scenarios beyond the standard model (SM). We consider a search strategy for vector-like bottom quark (VLQ-B) at the LHC in a model independent fashion. Our analysis is based on single production of VLQ-B with decaying to the Zb mode. The production cross sections and the signal significance SS are calculated, and the observability of the VLQ-B signal is investigated. Our numerical results show that the possible signals of the VLQ-B with ...
