Daily Intentional Nurse Leader Rounding on  Patients

THE CENTERS for Medicare and Medicaid Services  put in place a national patient survey of patient perceptions of care beginning in 2008. Patients are surveyed on their discharge from the acute care hospital to determine their ratings for a series of standardized questions. The survey is a 32-question instrument measuring the patient's percepti on of their experience within the hospital. In October 2012, it became mandatory for hospital's reimbursement to be tied to this value-based purchasing program.
