A Comparison of Health Risks among Adolescents from School-Based Health Centers and Primary Care Settings

Purpose: Most youth receive screening, education, and treatment of health risks through attending either a school-based health center (SBHC) or a primary care practice (PC). Little is known about the difference in health risk profiles of adolescents presenting across the two settings. We compared levels of health risk behaviors and psychosocial factors of adolescents across settings to better understand the needs of the youth they serve.
