Control of collagen gel mechanical properties through manipulation of gelation conditions near the sol-gel transition

Curtis It is shown herein that it is possible to control the mechanical and microstructural properties of collagen gels by manipulating temperature in the vicinity of the sol-gel transition; the Fractional Maxwell Model is also shown to accurately describe the rheological behaviour of such gels.
