Young talent visits Ashfield For The miniLab

The miniLab provided children with the unique opportunity to spend an entire day at their parent, auntie or uncle’s workplace, learning about the agency and the event industry in a highly interactive, fun and educational way. The day was designed to provide the children, who ranged from 3 to 12 years of age, with a taste of the work that busy event organisers undertake in addition to an exciting opportunity to plan their own event. The children began their day with an introduction to the agency before commencing activities including name badge-making, an informal ‘getting to know you’ session and an office treasure hunt (an opportunity for the children to familiarise themselves with their new environment). The children were then provided with an immersive cinema experience (in a transformed meeting room) where short films were screened specifically chosen to showcase how the agency use creativity to spark thinking and provide inspiration to the children for their own event. Janina Monaghan (Head Of Global Sales Support) commented: “After refuelling over lunch, the children began putting their ideas into practice and were tasked with hosting their very own Christmas-themed event.
