Prevalence of chronic kidney disease in a population in southern Brazil (Pro-Renal Study).
CONCLUSIONS: The prevalence of CKD in an urban population in southern Brazil mirrors other developed countries and indicates that kidney disease is an important public health problem in Brazil.
