Flu season has arrived in Oregon, with uptick in cases
Flu season in Oregon, which started a little earlier than usual, is definitely underway, said Dr. Richard Leman, a state public health physician.
As of the week after Christmas, about 5 percent of emergency department visits at Oregon hospitals were for influenza-like symptoms, such as fever, cough and sore throat, according to the Oregon Health Authority’s Weekly Surveillance Report.
