Incidence, outcomes, and resource use in children with Stevens ‐Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis

ConclusionsThe incidence of Stevens‐Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis in children is higher than reported in adults, and there are significant age‐based variations in incidence and outcomes across the pediatric population. Further study is needed to determine the most effective treatment strategies to reduce costs and improve outcomes in children hospitalized with severe cutaneous reactions.
