171: Assessing maternal and neonatal risks associated with prolonged induction of labor
Allowing more time to progress in labor has been suggested as a strategy to reduce the number of cesarean deliveries. The safety of this recommendation has yet to be fully evaluated. We aimed to assess neonatal outcomes after prolonged induction of labor (IOL) using 36 hours as a threshold for “prolonged”.
