579: Operative vaginal delivery compared to cesarean section modeled for a second pregnancy: a cost-effectiveness analysis
Stalled second stage of labor is met with two clinical courses of action, operative vaginal delivery via forceps and vacuum or cesarean section. Each carries its own risks of neonatal and maternal morbidity and death. Our study examined the cost-effectiveness of operative vaginal delivery compared to cesarean section in the context of two pregnancies.
