(EMS) Had my first patient die tonight. Gave my first bad news to family. Not shaken up at all.

Patient in 50s. I was the first to run in, 16yo son doing CPR in living-room floor. I took over with several other providers <1minute behind me. After an hour it was called in the field per medical direction. Basically every county rescue worker showed up to see once they heard "CPR in Progress" over the radio. We are just cleaning up, each squad claiming their bags and monitors, dead dad lying in floor with IV lines, ET tube, wires just looks obvious that we stopped and wife starts crying.... (EMS) Had my first patient die tonight. Gave my first bad news to family. Not shaken up at all.
