Comparison of preseptal and retroseptal transconjunctival approaches in patients with isolated fractures of the orbital floor

Tranconjunctival approaches have become standard and are the first choices of most surgeons, associated with good esthetic results, surgically ideal overviews, and avoidance of functional disturbances caused by the incision (Schm äl et al., 2006; Ridgway et al. 2009; Novelli et al. 2011; Santosh and Giraddi, 2011). Typical complications after accessing the orbit and the infraorbital rim are eyelid retraction and symblepharon formation (Bruneau and Scolozzi, 2015; Ishida, 2016; Novelli et al., 2011).
