Association between extremity kaposiform hemangioendothelioma and lymphedema
We present a patient with a thigh kaposiform hemangioendothelioma successfully treated using a systemic corticosteroid during infancy who was diagnosed with lymphedema in the extremity 9 years later. The observation that extremity kaposiform hemangioendothelioma could possibly be associated with lymphedema has implications for the care of patients with kaposiform hemangioendothelioma.
