Oxford Dictionaries ’ word of 2017 is hardly earth-shaking. But instead of being broflakes, let’s join in on the funCasper Grathwohl has the rather fine title of president of dictionaries at Oxford University Press, so it was he who chose the much-discussed but rarely used “youthquake” as 2017 word of the year, over some other equally unlikely suggestions. I only mention that in case, in skimming over the story at this busy time of the year, you read Grathwohl alongsideAntifa,gorpcore andbroflake, and assumed it was one of the contenders.Why not?
