After due diligence, Cooper Health says it will not acquire 3 N.J. hospitals

Cooper University Health Care of Camden announced this afternoon that it will not be acquiring Trinity Health's New Jersey hospitals: Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington, and St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton.
On Aug. 31, Cooper signed a Letter of Intent t o acquire the hospitals but since then Cooper performed "substantial and exhaustive due diligence." Based on its findings, Cooper said, it decided to terminate the Letter of Intent.
