Teleflex inks respiratory heater supply deal with HealthTrust

Teleflex (NYSE:TFX) said today it inked a group purchasing agreement with HealthTrust to supply it with respiratory heaters and accessories. The deal, which became effective December 1, includes Teleflex’s portfolio of active humidification, non-invasive ventilation and high flow nasal cannula therapy products, the Wayne, Penn.-based company said. HealthTrust has more than 400 member hospitals which will now gain access to humidification products including the Hudson RCI Neptune heated humidifier and Comfort Flo plus high flow nasal cannula, Teleflex said. Teleflex said the new contract complements its existing general respiratory agreement, and that both contracts “provide HPG members an opportunity to consolidate their respiratory purchases with one supplier,” according to a press release. “Teleflex is pleased to offer such an extensive line of humidification and respiratory products to the HealthTrust membership. Teleflex is well positioned to offer a full suite of respiratory solutions to the clinical community demonstrating our commitment to expand access to technology that helps clinicians improve outcomes while reducing overall healthcare costs,” Latin America respiratory prez James Ferguson said in a prepared statement. In mid-November, Teleflex announced a new public offering of senior notes due 2027, looking to raise approximately $500 million.
