Osteoporosis. Postgrad Med. 1994 May;95(5):73-88 Authors: Watts NB Abstract Preview A reduction in bone mass seems to be inevitable with aging, but osteoporotic fractures need not be. Patients at increased risk of fracture can be identified with use of bone-density measurements, and proven and experimental treatment methods are available to prevent bone loss and increase bone mass.
