So Long, and Thanks for All the Genes!

Reflecting on the past 6 years as editor of The American Journal of Human Genetics, I, like previous editors,1 –4 feel immense gratitude for the privilege of the position. It is truly an honor to have been entrusted by the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) with the helm of this highly respected vessel. Of course, The Journal long ago became too big to sail single handedly, and I was fortunate to be joined on this journey by a superb crew. Deputy Editor Sara Cullinan, who has been with me from the start, brought experience in publishing and a keen sensibility for navigating the ever-changing scientific waters.
