We report on the results of a 6-year French tricenter study on 1,124 cases of fetal USDA for whom a comprehensive molecular study was performed for CF.Results: Among the 37 CF fetuses, 5 (13.5%) presented with isolated NVFGB at ultrasound (US) examination at 24 –31 weeks of gestation. This sign was more frequently observed in CF fetuses than in non-CF fetuses, with a likelihood ratio of 2.7. The genotypes included three c.1521_1523del (F508del) homozygous cases and two compound heterozygous cases for a frequent and a rare CF-causing variant.Discussion: These observations highlight the importance to report on the pres...

Conclusion: The algorithm can be implemented in most clinical ultrasound machines with minor additions to the PW Doppler processing algorithm. The algorithm is optimized to be robust for a variety of blood flow velocities and is shown to perform well when the signal from the blood is on par in amplitude with the catheter signal. Significance: Unambiguous and distinct visualization of catheter tip facilitates real-time tracking of the catheter and aids minimally invasive procedures.

ConclusionsUltrasound is found to have equal sensitivity, specificity and NPV as CT and PET CT. Further, US is proven significant better than clinical examination. Patients with one or two high-risk factors for metastases could very well benefit from US of neck. However, more studies on US are necessary and further, specific studies on cSCC should be performed in order to see if US of the neck in HNSCC patients is transferable to cSCC.Level of evidence: Not ratable.

We present a rare case of bilateral angle-closure glaucoma associated with pseudoplateau iris due to multiple ciliary cysts and conducted a systematic review of the literature to find similar case reports published between November 2006 and November 2016. Only 19 case reports present treatment modalities, and most cases required more than one therapeutic approach for controlling the intraocular pressure. Pseudoplateau iris attributed to iridociliary cysts should be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients with narrow angles, particularly those with ocular hypertension and glaucoma, in which management is comple...
