Human chitotriosidase analysis: a reliable biomarker of sarcoidosis severity
Conclusion: CTO is a non-invasive, reproducible and useful biomarker in the clinical practice; high CTO activity may predict extrapulmonary involvement of disease and could be useful to identify patients requiring pharmacological treatments.
