Letter to the Editor regarding Trikha et al: “Retrospective analysis of proximal humeral fracture-dislocations managed with locked plates”

I read the article titled “Retrospective analysis of proximal humeral fracture-dislocations managed with locked plates” by Trikha et al3 with great interest. The authors have made an effort to clarify concerns about the success of osteosynthesis in such a complex scenario, and at the same time, possible complications ar e detailed. But as a reader and clinician, I always have doubt. Is it possible to have persistent instability in cases with 3- or 4-part anterior fracture-dislocation of the shoulder? The previous published series also did not mention the redislocation or persistent instability in such a scenario.
