Peer review is an essential component of quality improvement for patient care within the practice of radiation oncology. Various national programs and regulatory agencies have recognized peer review as a critical element in the process of radiation therapy treatment planning, and prospective peer reviewing has resulted in enhanced patient outcomes when this practice is implemented [1-4].
