KU Med alumni make $1 million gift to establish professorship
Two University of Kansas Medical Center alumni made a $1 million gift to endow a professorship at the school.
Dr. Dennis Diederich, a former nephrologist and professor emeritus at KU Med, and his wife, Alice, who held a research position at KU Med, created the fund to support a professor at the school’s nephrology and hypertension division.
Dennis Diederich joined KU Med in 1969, when The University o f Kansas Health System began offering kidney transplants.
