Letter Re: Practice guideline summary: Reducing brain injury following cardiopulmonary resuscitation: Report of the Guideline Development, Dissemination, and Implementation Subcommittee of the American Academy of Neurology

The American Academy of Neurology guidelines remarked on required recommendations to reduce brain injury after successful cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).1 Nonetheless, it seems contradictory that prehospital cooling as an adjunct to therapeutic hypothermia (TH) is decidedly ineffectual in further improving neurologic outcome and survival.1
