Sexual Medicine Society of North America Young Investigator Awards Deadline: October 1, 2014 The Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) proudly announces “The SMSNA Young Investigator Award (YIA) Research Fellowship.” This unique program offers young investigators who are interested in sexual medicine research, in particular male erectile dysfunction, peyronie’s disease, testosterone deficiency, prosthetic surgery outcomes and research, and female sexual dysfunction the opportunity to obtain funding to support their research while engaged in qualifying research in sexual medicine. The research program will not fund research in reproductive medicine and infertility. It is the purpose of the SMSNA to increase public awareness of healthy sexuality and sexual problems, to foster the finest care for individuals suffering from sexual debility, and to encourage scholarship and research. It is our hope that this program will encourage young people to become interested in sexual medicine research and make it a focal point of their careers. The SMSNA has two funding avenues available including a YIA research fellowship which funds post-doctoral/post-residency fellows. The mini-grants will fund graduate or medical students, residents in graduate medical education training programs, and undergraduate students.
