Essentia Health fires dozens for not getting flu shots

Essentia Health, the Duluth-based health care provider, this week moved to terminate workers who had defied its mandate that all employees receive flu vaccinations. The Duluth News Tribune reports on the step, which affected nearly 50 workers. Essentia, which runs hospitals and clinics in four states, announced the flu-shot requirement last fall.
